Reflections of 2019

2019 was a year for hellos and goodbyes. Facing our fears and helping others to face theirs. Winning and losing. But above all, making a difference to our own lives and those of others.

When staff chucked water over each other - all in aid of North West Air Ambulance

When we signed up to the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register

When we made pizza for tea...

...and curry the following week!

Who ever said boys can't cook?

When we stunned the public with our art at the Williamson art gallery

When we were ranked 7th best state school for sport by School Sport magazine

When we raised leaders

When we got wet, broke barriers and made great friends

When we lost two former Headteachers Mr Peter Dodd and Mr Andrew Hall

When hockey friends gathered to celebrate the life of Chris Todd

When we introduced a smart new blazer

When we celebrated fantastic GCSE results...

...and A Level results!

When we remembered Calday staff and students who lost their lives for our country

When our Mo Bros raised £2472 for men's mental health

When our Sixth Formers entertained our elderly friends at The Anchorage in Hoylake

When we kept Wirral's largest FoodBank depot going for a week and a half
When we made Christmas special for local disadvantaged children with Tranmere Rovers Football Club

When we said goodbye and good luck to Headteacher Mark Rodaway (2012 to 2019)

Season's greetings from everyone at Calday!
