Physical Education

“We aim to create the very best experience for all ability levels within Physical Education in order that pupils realise their performance potential and engage in lifelong participation.”

 

The PE department is a thriving hub of physical activity on a daily basis challenging students to achieve individually and collectively to their highest levels.  Calday has an incredible tradition of excellence in Hockey, Rugby, Cross Country and Table Tennis. In each of these sports, Calday has reached the National Finals collecting many trophies over the years.

 

GCSE and A Level Physical Education 

GCSE and A-Level Physical Education are both offered and follow the OCR exam board PE courses. The course starts in Yr9 and finishes in Yr11. The school has a fantastic reputation for the academic study of these subjects and every year students leave to attend some of the finest higher institutions in the country such as Loughborough University.

A Level entry requirement: Grade 6 in Biology or PE
