Physical Education
The PE department is a thriving hub of physical activity on a daily basis challenging students to achieve individually and collectively to their highest levels. Calday has an incredible tradition of excellence in Hockey, Rugby, Cross Country and Table Tennis. In each of these sports Calday has reached the National Finals collecting many trophies over the years.
Students have 100 minutes of Games lessons a week and have the broadest curriculum in Wirral. Students will rotate around sports every half-term and also undergo a series of inter-house events.
GCSE and A Level Physical Education are both offered and follow the AQA and OCR courses respectively. The school has a fantastic reputation for the academic study of these subjects and every year students leave to attend some of the finest higher institutions in the country such as Loughborough University.

Assessment information
Students include scores from their four highest scoring activities and lessons are a combination of theory and practical for two years. There is a 90 minute written examination and a performance moderation day.
