Government and Politics
The Government and Politics course at Calday encourages Sixth Form students to follow current affairs closely and make sense of recent political developments.
The course highlights recent constitutional reforms in the UK, particularly in such areas as devolution and the House of Lords. The Government and Politics AS level course provides students with an introduction to the processes and institutions of British Government, whilst the A2 level course focuses on the processes of American Government.
Potential students of Government and Politics should note that this is not a historical course; there is a significant emphasis on contemporary politics in the UK and America.
