Can children in other year groups enrol?
No, our programme of activities is tailored specifically for children in years 4 and 5.
What should my child bring to the session?
Each workshop will specify if any particular equipment is needed, students are required to bring a packed lunch.
What will my child do during a workshop?
They will participate in fun and creative challenging activities that are aimed at students who wish to develop their problem solving and communication skills. The programmes are developed to ensure that the most able students are challenged significantly beyond what is expected for their age group.
How many students attend a workshop?
This will vary dependant on the venue of the workshop, we typically accommodate three to five groups. Each group will consist of between 20 to 30 students.
Is there a maximum workshop size, are places limited?
Yes, each workshop will have a maximum number of places. Due to the popularity of the programme attendance is not guaranteed until full payment is received.
I do not have an email address can I still apply to attend a workshop?
If payment is required we can post your online payment details to you rather than email them.
I do not have a debit or credit card can I still apply for a place on a workshop?
We prefer payments to be made online. However, if you do not have a debit or credit card, you may pay at the school reception between 9:00am and 4:00pm, Monday - Friday. Payment may be made by cash or cheque, (cheques to be made payable to CGGS). To enable us to deal with your transaction efficiently, and to save you time, you should complete the application form before you visit the school to make your payment.
What happens if the minimum workshop size is not achieved?
All workshop fees are based on a minimum number of students attending. If this number is not achieved the workshop may not run. If this happens enrolled students will be notified and a full refund will be given.
Does my child need to wear their school uniform?
No, we do not have a dress code.
