National Theatre Success

Our application to take part in the National Theatre’s Connections event in 2014 has been accepted.

In brief, the National Theatre commissions ten established playwrights to write plays specifically for young actors. We read the plays and suggest two that we would like to produce. We have now heard that we have been given our first choice. It is a black comedy called ‘Heritage’ by Dafydd James. We will present the play at school in March 2014 with professional support from the National Theatre and their local partner, The Lowry Theatre in Salford.

Each play will be presented by around 25 different schools and youth groups around the country. Connections will send someone to see our show and there is a possibility that we might get to perform it at the Lowry or even in London
