School Play 10/11/12 July

10/11/12 July 7pm Tickets are £6 and available from

This term’s drama production is a double bill of short plays originally written for the National Theatre’s Connections festival.

The first is Lunch in Venice by Nick Dear. It is about the relationships between a group of students on a school trip to Venice and how they react to the art, the history and the pizza.

The second play is The Edelweiss Pirates by Ayub Khan Din. It is set in Germany during the Nazi era and is based on the true story of a group of anti-Nazi teenagers who, with incredible bravery, set up a subversive network to fight fascism. It is a serious piece and may be upsetting in places. It is not really suitable for young children. There is some infrequent strong language.
