Exceptional A Level results for students!
Another year of exceptional success with their A Level results.
Students and staff at Calday Grange Grammar School are celebrating another year of exceptional success with their A Level results in spite of the circumstances faced by us all since the start of the pandemic.
Despite the adversity, these students (along with the incredible support from their teachers and parents) have achieved excellent results, with an overall pass rate of 99.6% at grades A*-E.
These figures continue to build upon previous years’ results with the average points per entry being 41.5 (average grade B). Additionally, 45.2% of all grades awarded were A*- A, whilst 68.2% of all students gained A*- B grades this year.
Headteacher, Mr Stephen Gray, commented:
"After another challenging year, I would like to pay tribute to our students and staff. Despite the disruption caused by the pandemic, the students have continued to engage with their studies and work hard. No matter what challenges they have faced, both the students and staff have responded with adaptability and resilience. This has been reflected in some outstanding results, both overall and on a personal level. The students deserve their grades and many will now go on to further study at some of the most prestigious institutions in the country. The Calday school community is proud of their achievements and we wish our students well in the next stage of their journey."
Many students will now be moving off to take up places at universities across the country, several students will also be entering into higher level apprenticeships and some will be taking up placements internationally.
We wish them all well and cannot wait to hear of their further achievements.
