    A Level Exceptional Success

    Students and staff at Calday Grange Grammar School are celebrating another year of exceptional success with their A Level results.

    The results end two years of hard work and commitment from students, staff and parents in the face of national changes in specifications and increased course rigour.  Despite this, students have achieved these excellent results with a pass rate of 99.7% at grades A*-E.

    These figures continue to build on previous years’ results and it is also shown in the average points per entry at 39.5 (average grade B). There was also an impressive number of A*- A grades at 34.4% of the cohort whilst 61% of all students gained A*- B grades this year.

    Whilst there are many notable successes from these results, special mention must be made of the following students who achieved all their A Level grades at A* 

    • Gautham Ravichandran 5 A*
    • Alex Risk 4 A*
    • Ed Burns 3 A*

    Additionally, the students below all achieved grades at A* and A 

    • Ben Siebertz-Willett 4 A* and 1 A
    • Patrick Moran 3 A* and 1 A
    • Ben Broadbent 2 A* and 1 A
    • Orion O’Brien 2 A* and 2 A
    • Johannes Rietbrock 2 A* and 2 A

    Headteacher Mark Rodaway said “The governors would like to congratulate all the students, staff and parents, for their marvellous effort, hard work and achievements particularly in the light of the large scale changes that have taken place this year at Advanced Level.  We wish all our students the very best for the future”.
