KEY STAGE 3
Options for this Key Stage
Most classes are taught in form registration groups, although students are split into six ability groups for Mathematics and eight mixed ability groups for Creative Arts and Design and Technology. The slightly smaller groups allow more individual attention in those subjects that include a practical element.
Students will be allocated two Foreign Languages from French, German, Russian and Spanish.

Options for this Key Stage
In the Spring Term, and following two Parent’s Evenings, Year 8 students will choose four subjects to continue to GCSE. Click here to view the GCSE Options Booklet and the Year 8 parents evening PowerPoint presentation. There is also a video here to help you with the options selection process.
These choices are based on their own experience and on feedback from their teachers as to their suitability to continue the course through to GCSE examination.

KEY STAGE 5
During the Spring of Year 11 students and parents (both current students and external applicants to the Sixth Form) are invited to seminars and information evenings to find out more and discuss the subjects that may be studied in Years 12 and 13.
The majority of students will study three A Level courses, with a small number taking four. Students will be asked to choose from the list below:
