Hockey at Calday Grange Grammar School has a long standing place amongst the sports we provide. There are teams across all year groups and students have the opportunity to play at a standard of competition that suits their ability and desire.

We currently offer hockey to students from Year 7 through to the Sixth Form and they will represent the school in county, regional and national competitions.

Calday has a proud tradition of competitive fixtures against some of the top performing hockey schools in the North. Continued success in national competitions has kept the school as a leading force in schoolboy hockey.

Our most famous Old Boy is Bobby Crutchley who has been an assistant coach to the senior men’s programme since 2005 and was part of the Great Britain coaching staff at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and is currently England men’s coach.
