Destinations
Calday Grange Grammar School Sixth Form students go on to study for a vast range of professions and expand their knowledge in many subjects at a range of universities.
The school has a very successful record of supporting students to gain entry to their chosen courses at Oxford, Cambridge and the Russell Group Universities, as well as securing prestigious apprenticeships for many of those who choose an industry-based path after Sixth Form study.
In 2020, 43% of places secured in higher education were at the leading Russell Group universities, 12 students secured an apprenticeship or training course, 19 students chose to take a gap year either working or volunteering and 4 students entered full time employment.
81% of the class of 2019 have continued to higher education, with a high proportion gaining places on some of the most selective courses. 43% of places secured in higher education were at the leading Russell Group* universities. The remainder of the cohort have chosen to follow the path of employment, apprenticeships, foundation courses, study abroad or have taken a year out before continuing their education.
University destinations for 2020 include Universities from all over the British Isles however, Liverpool continues to be a popular destination with 28 former students choosing to continue their education closer to home.
