Due to the current disruption to school activities we are not sure when after school cookery sessions will re start. Currently we are not taking any bookings for Year 7 or DofE Cookery, please visit us again soon for an update.
Opened in September 2010, our light and airy cooking suite provides facilities for groups of up to 14 students to learn and cook together. Highlights of the well-equipped suite include electric ovens, gas hobs and a video/TV demonstration facility.
As well as being used for lessons the suite is home to a number of different enrichment cookery programmes.
Year 7 Cookery Club
Is delivered by Mrs Rowlands and is held afterschool on a weekday evening between 3.40pm - 5.45pm.
Courses run for 5 weeks each half term. Students provide their own ingredients to create a range of savoury and sweet dishes. Ingredients required for all of the recipes featured can be found below. They are listed in alphabetical order and students will be learn each week what they will be cooking the next.
Students may store ingredients in the cookery suite before form period on the day of their session, using the fridge for fresh ingredients if needed.
Pre booking is essential, students should speak to Mrs Rowlands to express their interest in attending. Mrs Rowlands can be found in G16 during lunch.
There is no charge to attend cookery club. The club is funded by contributions made to the school enrichment fund.

Is delivered by Mr Roscoe and is held after school ona weekday evening between 3.40pm - 5.45pm. Various courses are run across the year subject to demand. The course qualifies for the skill section of the BRONZE award scheme and costs £40 per student, payable via parentpay. Students provide their own ingredients.
