CGC Outreach Workshops
The Centre for Gifted Children (CGC) is a programme dedicated to enhancing the learning opportunities for students deemed gifted and talented.
We facilitate classes and workshops held at Calday Grange Grammar School and outreach centres.
To attend workshops held at one of our outreach centres you must receive an invitation. Invitations are distributed via a network of primary schools across Wirral, Chester and North Wales. Sometimes we advertise workshops through local editorials and newspapers.
We usually run at least one workshop per term at each location. Attendance is open to all current year 4 and 5 boys.
The following workshop is now available to book:
Date: Saturday 23rd March 2019
Venue: Hughes Suite, The Lauries Centre, 142 Claughton Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 6EY
(Chester Venue - Saturday 16 March 12019 CANCELLED)
Working as an individual and as part of a team pupils collaborate first to design and then by using a range of unique resources build different structures in a series of challenges. Problem solving skills are tested as well as developing enquiry and observation skills in a creative and interactive activity, also happens to be great fun!
Workshops are FREE to attend, there is no charge. They start at 10:00am and finish at 2:30pm, children require a packed lunch.
