Calday Grange Grammar School has a very active and flourishing music department.
The music department runs a busy extracurricular programme that caters for a number of musical interests. Music is represented by many different ensembles, including orchestras, jazz bands, wind bands, chamber ensembles and rock bands. There are also several choirs including the Senior and Junior choirs. Students of all abilities are welcome.

Some particularly memorable performances were:
Menin Gate, Last Post Ceremony – Ypres
Aix en Provence Cathedral
Whilst performing is the main focus of the tour, it is also important for the choir to experience the culture of the country and of course have the opportunity to explore the area being visited. The tour choir work hard in preparation for tours. They not only attend regular school choir rehearsals but also separate rehearsals after school. Before every music tour, a pre-tour concert is performed to parents and staff of Calday.
