    Support staff vacancies


     

    Learning Mentor
    Required for 5th September 2017

    Grade:                                       Band C Pt 12 £9,520 (actual starting salary) 
    Hours of work:                        25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5 hours per day 10 am – 3 pm) 
    Contract type:                         Term time only
    Contract term:                         Initially until 31st July 2018 and may be renewed depending upon external funding

    We are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and caring person to work within our highly successful sixth form. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that our students engage more effectively with their learning and to help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment.

    The ideal candidate will:

    § Be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies;

    §  Be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour;

    § Have the ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young people;

    §  Be able to work independently and as part of a team;

    §  Be fully committed to supporting the school vision, mission and values.

    Job Description


    Lunchtime Supervisors
    Required as soon as possible

    Grade:                          Band B - £8.19 per hour (minimum) + final salary pension scheme, free parking
    Contract type:             Term time only
    Hours of work:            12.45 pm to 2.00 pm each day
    Contract term:             Permanent

    We are seeking to appoint caring, highly motivated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to work as part of a team supervising our students during their lunchtimes to ensure their safety and welfare.

    The successful candidates should be able to:

    communicate well with children and adults;
    -  demonstrate a calm and understanding approach to children’s behaviour;
    -  use their own initiative, and seek support from others when needed.

    Previous experience is desirable but not essential, however we would expect you have an understanding of our student’s needs and to be committed to providing a good role model through appropriate attitudes and personal qualities.
