    Support staff vacancies


     

    Catering Assistant (Required as soon as possible) 

    Grade:                          Band B - £8.19 per hour (minimum) + defined benefit pension scheme, free parking
    Hours of work:            4 hours per day (10.30 am to 2.30 pm)
    Contract type:             Term time only
    Contract term:             Permanent
    Our in-house catering team provide fresh and tasty food to nearly 900 customers each day across our five food outlets. We are proud of the service that we provide and are seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about food and working with children and young people.
    Due to increasing student numbers and more of our students choosing to dine at school, we are seeking to appoint a catering assistant to work as part of the team.  The main duties of the role, under the supervision of the Catering Supervisor, will include assisting with the preparation and service of food and the cleaning of premises and equipment.

    SIMs, Exams & Data Manager (Maternity cover)

    Starting in March 2018 (exact date still to be decided) the school are looking to appoint a Data, Examinations and SIMS Manager for a period of around 10 to 14 months to cover the maternity leave of the current post holder.
    Working in a supervisory capacity with 2 administration assistants and 25 – 30 casual invigilators, this is a varied position with the main responsibilities including: 
    • Management of school examinations including scheduling internally and sourcing appropriate rooms; sourcing and training invigilators; coordinating entry and results data; following the rules and regulations of the awarding bodies at all times
    • Managing the integrity of the school SIMS system ensuring all staff and student data is accurate and producing school census and post 16 returns
    • Liaising with SLT and the school contractor to plan the academic timetable and making amendments for staff and students throughout the year as required
    • Processing data on student attainment and progress for use by SLT and teaching staff and using SIMS assessment manager accordingly.
    What you'll need to succeed 
    To succeed in this post, previous experience of working with SIMS and Microsoft Office especially Excel is essential. Previous experience of managing the whole exams cycle, and a working knowledge of NT6 would also be an advantage. You will be highly organised, with strong problem solving skills and experience of supervising staff and prioritising work to meet tight deadlines.

    Lunchtime Supervisors

    Grade:                          Band B - £8.19 per hour (minimum) + final salary pension scheme, free parking
    Contract type:             Term time only
    Hours of work:            12.45 pm to 2.00 pm each day
    Contract term:             Permanent
    We are seeking to appoint caring, highly motivated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to work as part of a team supervising our students during their lunchtimes to ensure their safety and welfare.
    The successful candidates should be able to:
    communicate well with children and adults;
    -  demonstrate a calm and understanding approach to children’s behaviour;
    -  use their own initiative, and seek support from others when needed.
    Previous experience is desirable but not essential, however we would expect you have an understanding of our student’s needs and to be committed to providing a good role model through appropriate attitudes and personal qualities.
