    Support staff vacancies

    Premises Officer
    Required as soon as possible

    Salary:                      Band E starting salary of £18,070 increasing to £20,138 
    Contract type:           Full Time 1.0 FTE
    Contract term:           Permanent

    Applications are invited from enthusiastic, caring, well-motivated and suitably qualified person for the post of Premises Officer. The successful applicant will possess a range of building management, maintenance, D.I.Y., caretaking and gardening/grounds keeping skills, together with the ability to work with collaboratively with our support staff team.

    As Premises Officer you will ensure that the school environment is maintained to a satisfactory standard and your aim will be to deliver a quality service in a school where high standards are set and expected. Personal qualities will include: versatility, tact, commitment, common sense and initiative.

    SIMs, Exams & Data Manager (Maternity cover)

    Starting in March 2018 (exact date still to be decided) the school are looking to appoint a Data, Examinations and SIMS Manager for a period of around 10 to 14 months to cover the maternity leave of the current post holder.

    Working in a supervisory capacity with 2 administration assistants and 25 – 30 casual invigilators, this is a varied position with the main responsibilities including: 

    • Management of school examinations including scheduling internally and sourcing appropriate rooms; sourcing and training invigilators; coordinating entry and results data; following the rules and regulations of the awarding bodies at all times
    • Managing the integrity of the school SIMS system ensuring all staff and student data is accurate and producing school census and post 16 returns
    • Liaising with SLT and the school contractor to plan the academic timetable and making amendments for staff and students throughout the year as required
    • Processing data on student attainment and progress for use by SLT and teaching staff and using SIMS assessment manager accordingly.

    What you'll need to succeed 

    To succeed in this post, previous experience of working with SIMS and Microsoft Office especially Excel is essential. Previous experience of managing the whole exams cycle, and a working knowledge of NT6 would also be an advantage. You will be highly organised, with strong problem solving skills and experience of supervising staff and prioritising work to meet tight deadlines.

    Examination Invigilators (Casual)

    Required as soon as possible

    £9.26 per hour (inc statutory holiday entitlement)

    We are seeking to employ Examination Invigilators to form a pool of staff who can support the supervision of exams on a casual basis. Persons appointed will be required at various times throughout the year, with the busiest period being during the summer term (May – July) and during internal exams in November and January. Applicants must be available to work on a flexible basis during these periods.

    We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals with an eye for detail and good communication skills. You will be required to invigilate external examinations at GCSE and GCE levels and internal mocks and assessment tests, collect and collate papers and work with the Examinations Office to ensure regulations are adhered to.  A full job description is available (see below).

    Lunchtime Supervisors
    Required as soon as possible

    Grade:                          Band B - £8.19 per hour (minimum) + final salary pension scheme, free parking
    Contract type:             Term time only
    Hours of work:            12.45 pm to 2.00 pm each day
    Contract term:             Permanent

    We are seeking to appoint caring, highly motivated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to work as part of a team supervising our students during their lunchtimes to ensure their safety and welfare.

    The successful candidates should be able to:

    communicate well with children and adults;
    -  demonstrate a calm and understanding approach to children’s behaviour;
    -  use their own initiative, and seek support from others when needed.

    Previous experience is desirable but not essential, however we would expect you have an understanding of our student’s needs and to be committed to providing a good role model through appropriate attitudes and personal qualities.
